The Use of Natural Light
Photography sessions are taken using natural light. Natural light portraits have a special charm that makes them stand out differently than studio lighting. Natural light is softer & can minimize harsh shadows especially during golden hours. Often it gives your portrait warmth that artificial lighting can’t replicate. The simplicity of natural light photography is often seen as more raw and pure, making it timeless.
Photographic Style
I would describe my photo style as light and airy. I have always gravitated towards the subtle, muted color palettes used in light. When I first started in photography, I shot in film and even developed it myself. I now shoot in digital which is a bonus because that means you get more photos. I’ll still make sure you get the light & airy film look for your session.

Time
A portrait session isn’t just about taking photos—it’s about creating an experience. Investing time allows for careful planning of things like location, wardrobe, and even mood, ensuring the photos feel as personal and meaningful as possible. You will receive a consultation before your session.
Day of photoshoot
You’ll want to arrive on time and ready to go. I’ll be there early to set up everything, whether we’re shooting in-studio or on-location. Be sure to bring any outfit changes or accessories you want to wear, keeping in mind the style and mood we discussed beforehand. During the shoot, I’ll guide you through some poses, but I’m also here to capture those spontaneous, natural moments. Don’t worry if you’re feeling a little nervous—I’ll help you feel at ease and capture the best version of you.
Delivery
Once we’ve captured all the shots we need, we’ll wrap up. I’ll make sure you’re happy with everything before we finish, and we’ll briefly go over the next steps in terms of editing and delivery. Delivery is always delivered electronically. You’ll be given a timeline for when to expect your gallery. I’ll keep you updated on when your photos are ready for viewing.
